In partnership with Canton for All People, Build Ohio Neighborhoods is leading a neighborhood-based housing strategy in Canton that combines high-quality home construction with long-term community investment.
Together, we construct new single-family homes, rehabilitate vacant properties, and develop workforce housing designed to be both affordable and durable. Our homes are built in-house under the Build Ohio Standard — prioritizing energy efficiency, strong materials, thoughtful site design, and compatibility with existing neighborhood character.
This partnership goes beyond construction. Through CFAP’s community initiatives — including the Shorb Fresh Market at 63 Shorb Ave. NW and the Gibbs Ave. Center at 1345 Gibbs Ave. NE — housing development is integrated with food access, community programming, and neighborhood leadership development. The result is not just new homes, but stronger, more stable blocks.
As a nonprofit builder, Build Ohio reinvests development proceeds back into Canton neighborhoods, ensuring that growth remains community-centered and mission-driven.
